I will be observing a spinal fusion procedure tomorrow and in anticipation built a basic thoracic vertebra to play around with. Still needs a lot of detailing, as well as inferior articular facets, but I would like to bring this into ZBrush to complete. I posted my first ZBrush pieces in my program's communal blog, BMC Sketch-a-Day: http://bmcsketch-a-day.blogspot.com just the other day.

You are so hardcore 3D! :)
ReplyDeleteAre you doing something in 3D for surgical?
Thanks Joyce! Yes my surgical piece will definitely be 3D. My surgeon uses a program called eFile, which is essentially Osirix for PC, in all his lectures but he wants some 3D imagery that is a lot cleaner and focuses the viewer on specific areas. And that's what BMC is all about, a win-win for both of us!
ReplyDeletedang paul looks good and sounds like you got a great hookup for a surgeon!!
